A big city, A tiny apartment. There, in solitude, an old woman and her cat rummage through their collection of match-boxes. The printed labels open into a myriad of exotic worlds.
In a small flat downtown in India, An old lady lives alone with a cat. She collects matchboxes printed from the whole world over and these allow her to get out of her repetitive everyday life. Look at the pictures on the matchboxes; she travels through an imaginary exotic world. Dedicated to her mother by Director Gitanjali Rao, it took two years to finish this film. The animated film demonstrates that a certain texture can touch one's feelings: black and white warmness and colorful gorgeousness, the exquisite composition with a graphicalized setting.
