A fictional autobiography of the director's youth. A girl of 17 meet up with a man of 34. In a night, they eat a bit, sing a bit, talk a bit, but nothing actually happen. |

It is an autobiographical film about director's childhood. A 17-year-old girl, on her birthday, goes to see a 34-year-old man writing a novel in the countryside. She suddenly wants to meet and likes him but has no idea how to express her feelings. The man, however, talks about his girlfriend and thinks of her merely as a child. The two of them have a joyful chat at a snack stall, take a walk together, and sing and talk while sitting on a lawn in the dark. After spending the night like that, the girl waits for a bus to go back to her place. It is a very poetic film that plants a tree gently stirring in the breeze of the viewer's mind. (KIM Sunah) |

Born 1978 in Sungai Ular, a Malay fishing village in Kuantan, Mui grew up in a Taiwanese family surrounded by Malay community. The experience of growing up as the only Chinese family in a Malay village gave her a very different perspective of her Malaysian identity.
She begins to involve in filmmaking in 2002 after she got to know Amir Muhammad and James Lee. In 2004, She had produced Chemman Chaalai (The Gravel Road), a Tamil film after twenty years of non-existent of Tamil film. In 2006, she produced James Lee's "Before We Fall in Love Again" and Amir Muhammad's "Apa Khabar Orang Kampung?".
